Papillon

Papillon Film Fanny Pierre Victoria Scrivner

Where is the project at?

We are looking to collaborate with a Belgian, French, or international production company that isn’t afraid to take risks, shake things up, and help transform the French-speaking film industry.

We’ll be at PITCH! 2025 as part of the Brussels International Film Festival, taking place from June 20 to 28.

We have a script and a pitch deck on hand. We're ready to submit for grants. We'd love to connect with ambitious creatives.

Papillon is a screenplay by Fanny Pierre and Victoria Scrivner.

What's Papillon about?

A 25-year-old Belgian woman heads to Paris to pursue her dream: becoming an actress. There, she meets a narcissistic and manipulative coach. She must survive her hypersensitivity, the sexual harassment of a famous director, the relentless pace of rehearsals, and the multiple strokes of her grandfather, “Papillon.”

We are passionate about this story, which tackles a powerful and timely issue: harassment in all its forms within the film industry and acting schools.

Fanny & Victoria

Fanny and Victoria have a 13-year difference. They are not related, but they're like family. When they didn't know each other yet, they both attended the same ballet school. They both grew up passionate about music, dance, acting, and desserts. They talk a lot, they laugh a lot, and they both cry a lot too. They're hypersensitive and feel all the feels. They dream big, and when they have a goal, they don't let go of it until they make it happen.

Papillon isn't just their story, it's the story of thousands of young actors all over the world, who get "broken down" in acting schools by scarred teachers, who believe that's the way the film industry has to be.

Fanny and Victoria believe people make the industry, and we can make it compassionate, professional, and safe for everyone.
